Costume Events and Parties
Are you a cosplayer extraordinaire? If there’s nothing you love better than dressing up in an elaborate costume, then you need to check out some of the great Halloween parties happening in Boston. You can go to the Walking Dead Costume Crawl that starts at 8 p.m. on Halloween. Hit more than ten great West End bars and participate in the costume contest. If you’d rather stick to one place, check out The Greatest Bar’s Haunted Mansion Halloween fundraiser the Saturday before Halloween. They have DJs on all four floors and a cash prize for the best costume!
Spooky Walking Tours
Boston has a lot of history, and history is loaded with ghosts. The nightly Ghosts and Gravestones Tour isn’t limited to Halloween, but it’s a great time of year to go if you’ve never done it before. Costumed gravedigger guides will do their best to scare you with Boston’s spooky history, including the Lady in Black who haunts Boston Harbor, 1780’s mysterious Day of Darkness, and much more. You’ll also visit Boston’s two oldest graveyards. Who knows what ghosts might be lurking there?
In Beacon Hill, Boston by Foot will take you on a tour of this charming neighborhood and tell you the (mostly) true tales of murder and mayhem and the mysteries that haunt the streets and alleyways. Grab your spookiest costume and some good shoes!
